ELSEE CANCER
Elsee Cancer is a medical genetics/genomics test for determining cancer predisposition risk and enabling effective cancer prevention measures. This test is recommended for people with a family history of cancers and those diagnosed with cancer at the age of 50 and under (high evidence of cancer inheritance) or any individual with increased risk for cancer due to personal medical history.
This test uses advanced NGS technology to analyze Whole Exome (the protein-encoding regions of 24,000 genes) with a high coverage of 200X. In addition, this assay is performed by US=certified medical geneticists following the most updated guidelines of American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics and other medical genetics organizations.
Elsee Cancer screens inherited germline genomic alterations that are related to common and dangerous cancer types, for instance:
-
Breast cancer
-
Ovarian cancer
-
Multiple types of cancer related to the reproductive system
-
Prostate cancer
-
Gastric Cancer
-
Colorectal Cancer
-
Ganglioblastoma
-
Glioma
-
Multiple types of cancer related to the brain and neural cells
-
Lymphoma
-
Leukemia
-
Myeloma
-
Multiple types of Hemato malignancies
-
Sarcoma (soft tissue sarcomas and osteosarcomas)
-
Melanoma
-
Multiple types of skin cancer
-
And other types of cancer
Confirmation analysis with gold standard medical genomic tests is done using Microarray (Illumina iScan) and Sanger Sequencing. This test report provides valuable information for cancer prevention and treatment.
